Get to Know Me

Welcome to my practice. I'm Emily, a mother, daughter, friend, spouse, therapist, yoga teacher, coach, and lover of quiet mornings in nature with a mug of coffee in hand. I am absolutely passionate about the work I do and the clients who choose me to be a part of their journey. I am thrilled to be one of those people who can truly say they love what they do!

Sessions with me are down to earth, we laugh, we cry, we use your own inner wisdom, even if you're convinced it's not there. I weave together in the moment intuitive responses with clinical training and reflect back to you your strengths, helping you to see yourself more fully.

I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in the state of Maryland, and a certified coach for individuals and mother-daughter pairs in the U.S. and abroad. My journey to counseling/coaching began with a background in transformational life coaching and teaching hatha yoga. I bring a holistic approach to our work which enriches and deepens our process together.  I earned my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Loyola University and specialized in spiritual integration in clinical counseling.

In addition to being a certified hatha yoga teacher (RYT500) I'm certified in trauma sensitive yoga, and support people with yoga for anxiety, depression and PTSD. I'm skilled in a psychodynamic approach, IFS (Internal Family Systems) EMDR,  hypnotherapy/guided imagery, and mindfulness practices.
